We now have switchplates, the blind is hung and so is the valance, and I also put the new cabinet hardware on. We have hit a snag, however, with the faucet. The old hardware under the sink holding the original faucet in place is so cheap/old/rusted/tight (take your pick) that we haven't been able to remove it yet. Tom got one side off but stripped the nut on the other side so now we are a bit of a loss as to how to get it off. Arrrrrrrrgh.
It doesn't help that there is hardly any room to maneuver under there. My idea was to heat it up with my little candle lighting torch thingy. But we decided that since it's such a small space and we don't know what under there is flammable and what isn't, that might not be such a hot idea. (or it might be a VERY hot idea... heh.. get it?) ;)
I also tried yelling loudly at the faucet, glaring at it, shaking it and pulling on it really hard, but it is a very stubborn fixture.
I'm sure we'll be calling in Tom's dad for assistance at some point soon... we can never seem to finish any house project without help from him!
