I have never been so hungry in my WHOLE life... I can't even describe it! I had FOUR breakfasts this morning, starting at 1:00a.m.
At this rate, they will have to take me on a flatbed to the hospital when I go into labor. :

Nausea, nausea, nausea. It's just a big ol' world of nausea right now.
Also, I wish I weren't stuck at work right now because I'd really like to go to bed.
The day-by-day pregnancy calendar says Bean is the size of a peppercorn today. Is it just me or is a peppercorn smaller than both rice AND raisins?
Ah well...

No nausea. No raging hunger. No running to the bathroom every five seconds. No NOTHING yet except for TIRED. I can't get enough sleep. If there was a bed in my office, I'd be in it right now. I already spent my lunch hour snoozing on the couch in our conference room. :\ I guess all this manufacturing a human requires more energy than you might think.

Embryos are apparently measured by what food they most closely resemble at any given point in time.
I am receiving conflicting information as to whether my future child, who at this point is 21 days old, is the size of a grain of rice, or a raisin. That's a pretty big difference! At any rate, its teeny tiny smaller than rice OR a raisin heart started beating today.
Since yesterday, I haven't really felt sick at all... just worn out and hungry. Hope it stays like this, but I have my doubts.

... well, I started this blog a few days late... so I'll try to catch you up. Friday before last, I was soooooooo sick... Saturday I was sooooooooooo sick... and so this continued through Tuesday morning, when it dawned on me that perhaps this wasn't just a stomach bug. Considering I have taken 5 or 6 pregnancy tests in the past year, you would have thought this would've dawned on me EARLIER, but that's beside the point now.
So Tuesday morning, (7/15) I unceremoniously peed on the stick yet AGAIN... this time, I turned around for half a second and wouldn't you know it, the darn thing turned up two lines while I wasn't looking. (that's "positive" for those who haven't experimented with the many brands of preg. tests on the market these days). I stumbled into the bedroom, stick in hand... "Tom... hey Tom.... " "What?" "It's two lines.... look it's two lines..."
What followed was a mixture of shock, excitement and total disbelief ... slowly we have begun to tell people. I called my mom that morning, she told my dad... we told Tom's parents the next day... still keeping it a little quiet though.
A blood test came back from the doctor yesterday, cofirming that I am in fact, with child... (duh).
And so begins another adventure ... :)
