I was working in the library at school this morning when the fire alarm went off… it wasn't a drill and no one had any idea what was going on. I haven't been part of a fire drill (or not a drill, as the case may be) since i was in high school. I went immediately into student mode and lined up with the 2nd and 3rd graders we walked out with. LOL!
It took me a good few minutes to realize I could stand with the adults…
Duh.
Turned out to be a short circuit in the alarm wiring or something… but the fire company had to come, sirens a-blaring, to check it out and clear the school before we could go back inside. Thank goodness for a mild, non-raining day!!
