Image Problem...

I love buying and trying weird fruits and veggies when they appear at the grocery store... so when I walked by this yesterday at the Safeway, it piqued my curiosity.



I checked the sign to see what it was and it said "Uniq Fruit" I'd never heard of it, so in the cart it went.

Then I noticed in small print it said "Ugli Fruit" (which I HAVE heard of)

Hee. So someone thought perhaps Ugli fruit just needed a new branding strategy and thus, the "Uniq" fruit was born.

Because, you see, it's not ugly... it' s just "different". ;) And thus, it goes from a fruit with self esteem issues, to a fruit that is proud to look a little strange.

Anyway, it was REALLY good. Tasted like a very sweet grapefruit.
