Farewell, Dr. A!

Today we went to a surprise farewell party for our pediatrician of 28 years and two generations, Dr. Aguto. It was absoutely overwhelming how many people turned out. The place was packed with his "kids" ranging in age from well over 30 all the way down to newborns. The line to talk to him and say goodbye stretched all the way across the room. It was amazing to see how many lives he touched... everyone stood around and told stories of late-night phone calls to him and how he always answered the phone at his house, no matter what time it was. They told stories of their babies and grandbabies and how he took such good care of them, both with everyday illnessed and especially during the worst of medical emergencies. He's a great doctor and he will truly be missed... apparently by A LOT of people.
